	II. DATA RESEARCH SERVICE
	The Data Research Service is available for obtaining information on public documents from the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC), the Texas State Archives and other Austin based state agencies with public records... This service may be tailored to the specific needs of the individual... Charges for our data research service range from a minimum charge of $30 for work requiring less than a half an hour to $60 per hour on a quarter hour basis for any research requiring more than a half an hour... Data Research Service charges apply to the following activities:         * obtaining information on well(s), leases and fields from the Records Retention Department of the Texas Railroad Commission.   * obtaining 2.5 mile radius information for new field discoveries or NGPA filings.   * obtaining 1/4 mile radius information for saltwater disposal and fluid injection applications.   * obtaining production records, plugging reports, well log copies and field maps.   * obtaining the latest drilling and completion reports filed within a given area.     * obtaining gas proration reports and extracts.     * obtaining copies of geologic maps, cross sections, reservoir data and other information from hearing files.     * obtaining any records that may be needed for research, court actions, or hearings requiring technical data.     * documentation of research or consultation           Charges not included in the above categories are:             * Reproduction Costs performed by the firm:                 - Photostat copies (8.5 x 11 or 14) $ 0.50 each     - Large copies (to 36 x var. length) $ 0.50 /sq.ft.     - microfilm prints $ 0.50 each     - log copies (continuous print) $ 0.50 /linear foot     - field maps $ 10.50 per copy       - field map index $ 18.00 per copy       - computer plotted screen map $ 20.00 per copy       - computer plotted quad map $ 20.00 per copy         (USGS quadrangle area or "quad"= 7 x 8 mile)                   * Commission Record Certification Charges         - $ 1.50 per sheet         - $ 1.00 per seal                 The panel on the NEXT web page (page 3) lists some frequently requested Railroad Commission Records that are filed by operators and may be copied by our Data Research Service.
